Ways to know what your ideal client wants to see! 👀

Failing to know who your ideal client is, niching down and learning what they want is an area where many small business owners go wrong. 😫

Nailing down your niche to a more specific group of people with specific qualities helps you to create your brand message and speak directly to that group of people. 🗣 Know all about who you are talking to will help you share more of what they want to see. They will actually listen to what you're saying and become some of your most loyal paying clients and followers! 🙆‍♀️

It seems pretty obvious that knowing what your clients want is critically important when it comes to marketing yourself and your services, right? But how do you identify them, get to know them better and use that information? 🧐

Here are some tips that you can get to know what your ideal client wants to see and hear from you:

Know what demographics you want to serve - what's their age range, where do they live, what's their gender, do they have kids, what's their education, what are their hobbies... all of that good stuff so you can speak to that and relate to them on a common level.

Know exactly what problem(s) you are solving for them - Do you help busy moms who have limited time to workout find solutions to squeeze in quick effective workouts daily? Do you help 50+ women who struggle with weight gain and slow metabolism know what to eat? You will want to come up with at least 10 specific problems your ideal clients struggle with and solutions to each one that you can talk about.

Make sure you are consistently engaging and listening - Interacting and replying back to your customers is a great way to get to know them further (and for them to get to know you!). Then truly take their comments to heart and listen to what they saying.

Get to understand many of their important needs - this is where listening comes into play again! Listen to understand where they are coming from and hear what they are truly saying about what they need to help them with what problems they are facing.

Know why they will buy what they buy - WHY would they want to buy your workout and nutrition program? What underlying reason will get to them join you? Put yourself in their shoes and speak to their WHY.

Know what makes them feel good about their purchase - What would make them feel good about purchasing your program? Will it be the results they experience in the first week, any promises or incentives you've guaranteed, the 1:1 relationship and trust they've built with you and what you're offering? You'll want to hit on these things!

Here are some ways on how you can obtain that information easily!

🟧 Review their social media accounts - you can check out your customers pages to see what things they like, their habits and what they're talking about! This can give you some great insights and help you get to know them so you can speak to them.

🟧 ASK questions and use call-to-actions on your posts - this is probably the simplest and easiest way! Just be real ask your followers questions that will provide you with insights on what you need to know in order to better serve them. (Ex. What is your main struggle when it comes to sticking to a meal plan or healthy eating?)

🟧 Send out a quick short survey to your email list - this is also a good method to gain honest feedback regarding your business and services. You can sent out a quick email with a few question they can reply back to or create a simple Google Form. Remember, the easier the better and more responses you'll receive.

🟧 Do a live Q&A video in your private community - jump into your group and speak in real time with your clients. Ask them the same kinds of questions you might in your posts or in the survey. Promote ahead of time and even tell them there will be an incentive or giveaway for those that join you and participate!

If we had to one simple phrase to sum this all up it would be this: GET SOCIAL. 👥

Interact with your customers regularly, get to know them, ask them questions, show them you value them and their opinion and truly care about their life. Let them know you appreciate them and their loyalty. Nothing beats providing this kind of client attention, care and building of those relationships. 👯‍♀️

Understanding and getting to know your customers - what they want and need - can feel like a complicated process but keep it simple, stay focused, be a genuine listener and it will only reap great rewards for your business in the long run! 🏃‍♀️
