Tis the season to be stressed?! 😫🤔


😫 The holidays can be stressful... but they don’t have to be! 🤔 ⁣

Here’s some tips to help you ENJOY the holiday season instead of just being freaked out 😭 all the time:⁣

😴 Get enough sleep.


I know you have to prepare the stuffing and clean your baseboards 🧼, but getting enough sleep is the MAGIC WAY to get it all done! When you’re rested 😀, you’re more focused and energized and able to tackle all the cooking and cleaning tasks!⁣

🙅‍♀️ Set boundaries.


If everyone is staying late to play a midnight game of Pictionary but you’re not feeling it 😑, it’s okay to go home. You’re all adults and they’ll all understand. ⁣Don’t let pushy family members or friends 🗣 talk you into going against what you know is best for you. ⁣

🥰 Prioritize yourself.


As much as you can, make sure you’re not deviating from your normal routine. Keep working out 🏋️‍♀️, keep taking those hot baths 🛀, keep doing a face mask on Sunday nights, keep reading books 📚 before bed instead of writing a to do list on your phone, etc. Keep things as normal as possible to keep your stress levels down!⁣


📝 Make a to-do list.


Every night make a list of all the things you want to accomplish the following day. ⁣✍🏻 When it gets out of your brain and onto paper, you’ll sleep better 😴, and getting enough sleep is a TOP PRIORITY when managing stress❗️⁣

🙆‍♀️ Keep in mind what matters.


No one is going to remember how clean your ⁣baseboards were 🧽 or if you got all the cobwebs from your ceiling fans, but they WILL remember how much all of you laughed at the Christmas party. 😹 ⁣

💁‍♀️ Modify your expectations.


⁣Sometimes we have big expectations for having THE PERFECT holiday season - which often don't match reality. 🥺 Evaluate the expectations you have and if they are realistic for you and your family. The holidays don't HAVE to be perfect, nothing is! Be open and flexible. Things won't always go according to plan and be willing to keep a positive outlook on it, it will help to reduce any stress! 🤗



Your health and mental well-being 😌 is incredibly important this time of year so don't be afraid to take care of you! Keep your spirit shining bright. 💫😍⁣
