Here are our essential end of year business tips to help you maximize your coaching business and life:

Find Work-Life Balance

#1.) Set Boundaries & Stick To Them!

Set boundaries – and stick to them! If you tell your customers and clients that during the holidays you won’t answer messages after 5 pm– don’t answer messages after 5pm! Your time is so precious so spend it wisely.

#2.) Designate Working Hours

Designate working hours. Along the same lines, decide when you WILL be working. What days, what times, what days you won’t be working, etc. We know that us entrepreneurs always feel the end of the year push, but you don’t want to burn out. Set a time that your business closes, shut down the computer and go enjoy the rest of your day.

#3.) Prioritize Your Tasks

Prioritize. At the beginning of your work day, make three lists. One for things that NEED to get done, one list for items that need to be done soon, and one list of things that you’d like to dobut your business won’t fail if you don’t get them done that day. Doing this will help you focus on what’s important, get the necessary tasks done, and stay productive.

Remember To Rest

#1.) Leave Work At Work

Leave work at work. It’s so easy to think about your business when you’re not working, but it’s not great for your mental health. Before you “clock out” for the day, write out all of your thoughts concerning the following day. Doing so can help you jump straight into work tomorrow and clear your mind of any business tasks so you can focus on friends, family and resting.

#2.) Take Time To Unplug

Unplug. This is something all of us can improve on, but especially business owners. It’s so tempting to quickly pick up our phones to check IG analytics or read a quick email while making dinner. Resist the temptation. Put the phone down and read abook, watch a movie, or take part in a hobby you enjoy.

#3.) Delegate Where You Can

Delegate. If you’re feeling overwhelmed, try to find a way to get some small tasks off your plate so you can rest, Your business and mental health will be better for it.

Be Consistent

#1.) Be Realistic.

Decide what you can get realistically get done and follow through. You don’t have to post 3 TikToks every day to grow your business. You don’t have to send out an email twice a week to keep your list engaged. You only need to do what YOU can do on a consistent basis. If that means showing up on social media 4 days a week instead of 7, and you can do that consistently, that is the right thing for your business. Only do what you can do consistently and you won’t burn out.

#2.) Be Okay Saying "No"

Get comfortable saying “no” to special accommodations. If your program is $97, but someone wants it for $80, don’t give in. If your 1:1 coaching is M-F only but someone wants to do a Saturday evening session, stick to your schedule. This is YOUR business that you’re running YOUR way and it’s okay to say no. Those who are excited to work with you will find a way to make it happen.

#3.) Schedule Ahead Of Time

Schedule tasks ahead of time. If you normally send out an email on Wednesdays or post to IG at noon, but you know you’ll be out of town, schedule it ahead of time.

Avoid Comparison

#1.) Be Proud Of Your Business

Be proud of your business. The end of the year means there will be many “my business did amazing!” posts on social media and it’s easy to read them and start comparing your success to someone else’s. Don’t let yourself go there. Instead, write your own post about all the awesome moments in YOUR business this year! Brag on yourself!

#2.) Use Others' Success To Create Goals

Use others’ success to help you create goals for next year. If you see a friend in business who made big leaps in her business this year, there’s no reason why YOU can’t make those same leaps. Use the success of others to motivate you and show you what’s possible in the new year. If they can do it, you can, too!

#3.) Celebrate Others

Celebrate others. It’s so easy to be bitter when you see other people enjoying their success, but choose to be happy for them instead! Tell them how proud you are of their hard work, how they inspire you, how you’re so happy for them. Choose joy!
