Staying consistent on social media can be overwhelming...
Here’s some tips to stay on track and keep up with your pages:
1. Plan ahead - decide on what you want to post about and create a plan for which days you’ll post a week (or more) in advance! This will help you avoid the “what to post” panic 🤯.
2. Don’t overwhelm yourself - determine how often you want to post and don’t pressure yourself to post more often than you can.
3. Keep your look consistent - choose a filter or two that you like and maybe a color scheme to keep your page looking consistent and professional.
4. Schedule your posts - if you’re worried about forgetting or know you’ll be busy when you want to post (like at your 9-5 😉), use a scheduling tool to prepare posts ahead of time.
5. Keep it simple - if all else fails, post something simple and REAL from your day, a quote you love or simply a fun pic with an emoji 🤪♥️.
6. Learn from your audience - coming up with fresh content ideas can be exhausting. Ask your audience what they'd like to see more of or need help with!
7. Show up - when it comes to staying consistent, showing up is part of the process 100%! Sure you can streamline and schedule, but make sure to follow up with engagement. Like and return your comments, reply back to your DM's, and engage with those your follow.
8. Last but not least, let go of Perfection - while quality is more important than quantity, striving for high quality 110% of the time could hinder your ability to show up daily. Of course, you'll want to make sure your post is well written (no typos), has appropriate hashtags and easy to understand. It may not be perfect and maybe it could be a little better, but post it and stay consistent anyway. Quality is something that'll improve through time!
