đ The WORST...
Here you are running your coaching biz daily, working your butt off, feeling confident about yourself, about your AMAZING products and services that have changed your life and then boom đ„. All the sudden you have a moment of doubt and youâre left feeling âspammyâ đ©đ.
But hereâs the thing, girlfriend. YOUâRE NOT đ«. I know youâre not. I see you changing your life and feeling better about yourself. I see your transformation. I see your positive vibes. I see how you light up đĄ when your customers succeed! đ„°
But itâs hard. Because youâre not a salesperson. So how do you keep being your sunshine of a unique self and avoid coming off as spammy/scammy/slimy đđ„ž??
Well, hereâs some of our top tips just for YOU đđ
đĄ Start engaging with people by commenting on their posts and interacting with them in a caring, friendly and organic way. Truly want to get to know them! Think about if they were your next best friend or how you can help them or even what you could learn from THEM.
đĄ Get personal - ask about their kids, jobs, hobbies, trips, etc. (keep a notes sheet if you have to, to remember specifics - set timers in your phone to ask them about XYZ) Genuinely be interested in WHO they are and WHAT they do. Then make sure to LISTEN!
đĄ When you enter a conversation about what you do as a health & fitness coach, ask about their specific struggles (never assume), what are they needing right now and repeat them back to confirm. Meet them where they're at and be as understanding as possible. Try to put yourself in their shoes!
đĄ Offer real solutions, a program that fits within their schedule, dietary needs, goals and abilities. đ ââïž No one-size-fits-all. Maybe they're a mom of 3 little ones who works full-time outside of the home with limited time. This means, most likely they won't be interested in workouts that are longer than 30 minutes. Ask them how much time they're willing to devote to workouts & meal planning.
đĄ Offer freebies and trials - be willing to SHOW them what it will be like if they decide to work with you. Do you have a "free" group they could join in and try? What about an informational learning group so they are able to gain more knowledge? Even putting together a schedule of sample workouts or simple 7 day meal plan would help them see some of the value they'd get when they sign up with you.
đ« DO NOT add people to your group without their permission. This is a no-no! We've seen so many people get frustrated online by being added to groups that they want nothing to do with. You will catch more flies with honey. Ask them first and personally invite them. Asking is polite, considerate and fosters a sense of community. Then they will truly want to be in the group, feel respected and don't feel like you are trying to be pushy.
đĄ Send newsletters - weekly or monthly to share whatâs new in your challenge group, some âwinsâ of your challengers, testimonials, fitness tips, healthy recipes, etc. This is another great way to provide them with value and solutions to their struggles while staying connected to you if they haven't decided to purchase... yet.
đĄ Go for the Ask! If you're afraid to put yourself out there because you're afraid of what other people might say or do - then you are doing more harm than good. You are missing an opportunity for people to be inspired, to be changed by what you have to offer. You were committed, dedicated and got results. You can pay that forward. But you have got to ask and invite them!
đââïž BUT before you start personally inviting... do you have a challenge group action plan in place?? A monthly marketing plan? Here are some things to think about:
- Do you know what kind of group you'll be hosting next?
- What the topic will be?
- When you're going to start?
- Your goal for how many people join you?
- If you will have daily posts?
- If you will have points and incentives?
- Will you just it in a tracker app or online group?
- Will you host it with another coach?
- What program will you be doing yourself? - What are the goals you personally want to reach?
You must create a rock-solid action plan for yourself. This will only help to build a structured and more organized business. Plus once you've set it up it should be easily duplicated each month. Having a plan where you know EXACTLY what you're doing will only give you the knowledge and confidence when you're speaking to your audience. You'll know how you're going to get started and the type of people you're looking to take on the ride with you. Your plan will help to make your invites more fluid and organic!
