“Lord, who am I to do this work?” Sound familiar? 🫤
We’ve asked it, too. Often. 👍
We wonder how on Earth we’re qualified to be doing the work we’re doing. Some of us are professionals and some of us simply have a heart for helping people. 🤗 Some of us feel too young to be helping those older than us. Some of us feel too old and like we’ll never understand the tech side of business. 😩
But if the LORD has called you to this work, then you are qualified. 🙌 Because He said so. He wouldn’t ask you to start a business you weren’t capable of running. He wouldn’t ask you to do scary things 😱 if He wasn’t going to be holding your hand the whole time. He wouldn’t ask you to do the hard work if He wouldn’t be sitting right next to you in your office 🪑 in the early mornings and late nights.
Who are you to do this work? You’re a daughter of the King 👑 who is going to take care of everything for you. Kings take care of their people. Fathers take care of their children. He's going to handle it all. Your job is to show up and do the work with Him by your side. 🙌
We know it sounds easier said than done, but it really CAN be as easy as simply showing up. You start crossing things off your to do list 📝 and listen for His gentle voice. If you hit a snag, you ask Him what you should do. If you feel the urge to reach out to someone, sign up for something, or put a task off until another time, you trust that the Holy Spirit is leading you and take that action.
Below are some promises from the Bible to show you in His words that what we're saying is true. 🙏 Let these verses serve as a reminder that He has called you to this business for a reason and He’s with you every step of the way,
🤗 God promises to be with you.
“Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the Lord your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.” Deuteronomy 31:6
🫶 God promises to take care of you.
“And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:19
👟God promises to guide you.
“I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with my loving eye on you.” Psalm 32:8
😍 God promises to comfort you.
“Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God.” 1 Corinthians 1:3-4
✨ God promises you hope.
“May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.” Romans 15:13
As business owners, we can get overwhelmed with all the things we have to do. 😬 The stress, worry, exhaustion of it all. Then we do the best we can and lay in bed at night 🛏 wondering if it was enough, if WE'RE enough. The truth is that if God has called you to create and run this business, you ARE enough. 🙌 You are qualified by Christ to go out into the world, work hard, be successful, and give Him the glory. 👏👏👏
