šŸŽ¬ ACTION! šŸŽ¬

"Oh my goodness, I just need more audience engagement!" If we had to guess, we bet that's a line you've said a time or two before, right?? šŸ¤Ø You want your audience to take action - but how often are you asking them to do so?? Be sure youā€™re regularly including a clear CTA! šŸ¤—

āļø CTA (call-to-action): Asking or directing your audience to DO something. For example: respond to a question, pick a choice, provide you with their email, join your free group, follow your page, swipe for more, comment with feedback, vote for their favorite, place an order, drop a picture, emoji or gif, etc.

šŸ’” If you're in need of some more specific ideas, here you go!

šŸ‘„ Ask your audience to join your free group or provide their email in exchange for a

freemium or freebie. Suggestions might be a free meal plan, sample workout or eBook.

šŸ¤·ā€ā™€ļø Inquire about specific struggles your audience has (what better way to learn how to help them?). For instance, do they struggle with late night cravings? What can help?

šŸ‘©ā€šŸ« Create a poll or easy to answer question. The less time it takes for your audience to respond, the more likely you are to get more responses. This or That questions are great!

šŸšØ Generate FOMO and urgency by sharing limited time offers, deals, incentives and limits on products and services available. Example, sign up today and grab a free shaker bottle!

šŸ’¬ Provide a tease of information and direct them to message you for more details. This will help start a more personal conversation to talk to them about their needs.

šŸ§ Include an instruction early in your post. For example: ā€œThink about the last time youā€¦ā€ or ā€œSwipe to seeā€¦ā€, getting your audience to interact with your posts early on will lead to more engagements.

You'll want to decide what you want your followers to do with your piece of content and then ask them what you want and make sure you're very specific. āœļø

We've also found that if you start small or at least sprinkle in a lot of small / easy asks here and there (ie. pick your favorite, drop an emoji), it will build up your audience trust for them to engage with the bigger asks (ie. joining your paid program or challenge group). šŸ™Œ

It's also a smart idea to see how you can attach a "why" to your CTA. Why will this benefit your ideal client if they answer and engage with you?? What do they get out of it? šŸ§

This is easily done with the following examples:

šŸ’Œ "Enter your email in my link below so that you can grab my FREE 7 day sugar detox meal plan!"

OR

ā¬†ļø "Swipe up for my latest blog post on how you can kick late night cravings to the curb for good too!"

Can you see how that little incentive will help make them want to take ACTION and engage? They need to "do this" in order to "get that." šŸ’ā€ā™€ļø

Lastly, just as a polite reminder... make sure you're showing up when they do! Reply back to their comments, messages, emails, etc. You asked them to take action, so now it's your turn to engage back. šŸ—£ You want them to know their actions are important to you and you are a safe space for connection.

We know you don't want to leave them hanging, you don't want to ignore them and you don't want to forget about them! If that does happen on occasion (and it does to everyone!), it's a good idea to make sure you're scheduling in a specific block of time that is completely dedicated to returning all customer engagement over several of your platforms. šŸ„°
